Inspiring AND interesting story

"But suffering teaches, and life goes on," Mrs. Lance states in the Prologue. She then tells her fascinating story. Describing how her faith has constantly upheld her during tough times, she tells of her childhood and about being a mother and the wife of Carter administration politician Bert Lance. I enjoyed both her description of life in a small town and her anguishing tale of suffering intense negative media attention when her husband encountered trouble in his political career. After reading the book, I feel like I know the Lances and would enjoy an afternoon talking on the veranda of their lovely Southern home.
