Just an ok story

It started off well and then towards the end it became tedious. The author could have wrapped it up sooner.

a decent, predictable read with promise

I'm not sure what edge-of-your seat 'thriller' one of the reviewers read but it wasn't this one. A well-written narrative? Yes. Predictable plot? Very much so. I think this author has promise to write something really good and this was a solid start but at almost every turn it plods along in the most expected of ways. There were a couple of twists that I feel made this rise above mediocre but it really takes a long time to get there. Worth reading and I look forward to what this author produces next.
