This Line We Follow

This Line We Follow, a book of poetry, describes a woman's experience of both personal and societal interconnectedness. The poem itself demands relationship between writer and reader, between past and present poetry.

This Line We Followis divided into six sections each beginning with an illustrated page of prose about poetry. A poem does not stand on its own. It lives in the continuum of all poetry, in its connection to the individual reader, and as a frame for the understanding of the poet herself.

This Line We Follow includes narratives of nightmares and dreams, coming of age, and environmental change. Lyric poems picture life in a foreign country, contemporary culture, and the influence and inspiration of children, grandchildren, dear friends and lovers.
