THIS I REMEMBER.... This is the fascinating account of the authors memories. The memories start when she was about three years old in 1934 and carry on for the next 79 years. There are many accounts of how her family exited in her growing up years. She tells how the world recovered from the great depression and travels on through the years, including World War II. She tell of the Christmas, when there was very few gifts, but it is the one she will always remember as her favorite. She describes how it was to live in a house without any electric for seven years. The washing, drying and ironing of the clothes each week is quite engrossing. Marion also tells what it was like sharing their phone with seven other neighbors on their 'party line'. Later on in her book, she tells of her marriages and her grief in the loosing of two husbands. She also shares the joy of raising her three daughters and the fun they had along the way. Her descriptions also include some of the many events that happened while raising a dog team, of resurrecting an old sail boat, and the restoration of a historic water powered grist and cider mill.
