This Generation Shall Not Pass is a religious/spiritual fictional memoir in which a two thousand year old cousin of Jesus Christ, who is still alive today, relates his memories of their life together. It is inspired by Jesus's words in Mark 9:1 (KJV). To wit, "Verily I say unto you, that there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power." John, Jesus's cousin, begins with stories of their young childhood and continues through their early adulthood. They embark on what came to be known as Jesus's ministry. John attempts to make sense of what had happened, from Immaculate Conception to crucifixion, during that brief period. John has been alive for two thousand years and has decided to tell his story so that others can better understand what Jesus was really trying to teach his companions. He has spent an eternity learning these lessons and is finally ready to share his version of some key accounts in his cousin's life. John's story is that of a voice crying out in the wilderness. It is not meant to replace any sacred texts. Rather, it is meant to shine a brighter light on sometimes confusing scripture. John's story is his act of love. This Generation Shall Not Pass is a story for anyone who struggles to reconcile ancient wisdom with modern thought.
