Third World Chronicles documents moments in the life of a boy over a two year period (between the ages of 4 and 6) as he finds his voice. It is almost like a blog of the things that Myles, the main character, says (mainly) and also does - those things that his mother is not too busy to write down. It is called Third World Chronicles because his great grand aunt Alice called him Third World. Why? Myles' individualism stood out. He was so different from his two older siblings - not willing to do as he is instructed and not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom.
