Third Base Ain't What it Used to Be

This is a wonderful book, which not only teaches sex education, but teaches us what we all should know about our own bodies. It should be read by everyone, not just parents. I have been a childbirth educator for many, many years and have come across women who are pregnat or have given birth, and still do not know what they should about their bodies. Thank you Logan. Love this book!

Third base sure aint what it used to be. I am now a grandmother and have both young grandchildren and teenagers. Third base is a great reference guide that helps me stay current with our teenage granddaughters and gandsons. It is a challenging world to grow up in and this book helps me to know how to communicate from todays world.

Refreshing, Honest and Fun

This book brings a refreshing and honest portrayal of what kids do, don't, and want to know and how we, as parents, can openly and honestly discuss "taboo" topics. I truly appreciate the candor of this book and found the anecdotes completely relatable to my situation; a parent raising children in today's "loose" society. Its about time somebody sheds light, through personal experiences, on what (and how) our kids are learning about sex and sexuality. Although I am only on Chapter Four, so far this book has given me a framework for talking to my kids about these important issues. It's rather scary to think who may be raising our kids (with all of the sensational sex-centric shows on television not to mention our celebrity role models) if we as parents aren't. Thanks to Logan for helping parents teach kids some of the most important lessons they'll ever need to learn.

Calm Advice on a Difficult Topic

As a godparent to several kids but with none of my own, I was very excited to read this book. Levkoff gives advice to adults on how to make kids feel comfortable with themselves and the fact that sexuality is part of our humanity from the time that kids are infants to when they are teens struggling to make the right decisions. The strongest aspect of this book is that it reminds parents and other adults who are important in a child's life that it is up to us to help kids make healthy choices and decisions about sexuality, and she gives us the tools to help us do so. No topic is left unexplored - from oral sex to abortion, it is all in there. Levkoff's sense of humor makes it an easy read and also hopefully will set the tone for any future conversations I may have with people who look to me for help. It's a great and important resource for anyone who cares about helping kids grow up safe, healthy, and happy.

This is truly a breath of fresh air! As a mother of two girls on the cusp of their teenage years, this book couldn't have come at a better time. Logan - thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so candid about these sensitive topics. My girlfriends and I have already chosen Third Base Ain't What It Used to Be as our next book for bookclub. Hope this is the first of many - can't wait to read more.
