THIRD ACT DATING: A Guide to Companionship for Silver Singles is my answer to how I restructured my life after my fiancé suddenly died. Undecided about remaining alone forever, I began to consider having another chance at love, even though I was over 70. I've found that many Silver Singles have the same need, and my hope is the book will help others as well. I originally started writing a book about loneliness late in life, but it was too depressing and I decided to take a more positive direction. I already had a podcast called Third Act Dating, so I expanded that project, exploring the options open to senior singles for romantic relationships, including not having one. While writing the book, I was invited to teach a course on dating to seniors, a class which proved more popular than I'd imagined and expanded to several courses at different institutions which have been satisfying, fun and thought-provoking.
