Think and Write for Your Life -- or Be Replaced By a Robot: How critical thinking and good writing distinguish you in the age of artificial intelligence

By some estimates, the coming wave of artificial intelligence could replace almost 50 percent of the jobs in the U.S. and even more in other countries" Yet, artificial intelligence can't do critical thinking and manifest the results in good writing. These are uniquely human abilities -- and they are vital for addressing the growing number of challenges in a world of accelerating change. Think and Write for Your Life -- or Be Replaced by a Robot is a wakeup call: "Those operating on autopilot, i.e. those who do not think critically and can't turn their thoughts and ideas into the good, easily understood, are likely to be replaced by job-eating robots."The book provides a guide for critical thinking and good writing in the age of artificial intelligence. Specifically, it addresses those aspects of critical thinking and writing, which are uniquely human and which cannot be done by artificial intelligence -- at least in the foreseeable future. The author, Tom Linn, has written on science and technology for the Department of Defense, Department of Justice, Applied Research Lab at Penn State University, University of Maryland and corporate industry. He has published in the Chicago Tribune, International Herald-Tribune, Los Angeles Times, San Diego Union-Tribune, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Wall Street Journal Europe, Washington Post, and Washington Times, as well as, in defense trade journals. Since 1996, he has been an adjunct professor in the Naval War College, teaching primarily in the Pentagon. He is a retired US Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel. He and his family live in Widewater VA.
