As I've considered some of the ideas that Christians have about the things that are going to happen in the days to come, two of the most prevalent teachings are, first, the doctrine of the "rapture", and, second, the literal interpretation of the book of Revelation. After some forty years of study in God's Word, I also have a few beliefs on those things; namely, that there is no "rapture", and the interpretation of the end-time things isn't as literal as they believe. Don't get me wrong: I believe that the time of tribulation will be real and will be devastating, and I have no intention of making it sound as though it'll be a walk in the park. But in this writing, I want to present some alternative ideas to the reader that address some of the concepts that have become ingrained in Christianity. Through these concepts, then, my aim is to open a whole new paradigm that will, in turn, open the door to some ideas that might not have been considered before.
