This book is a collection of poems created by the 8th grade community at Monarch Academy, Glen Burnie. Our goal was to each create a poem that shows both our experience with poetry and our response to one of our case-study topics. Our topics included: The Holocaust, the Industrial Revolution, child labor, the origin of World War I, and the Christmas Truce of 1914. We are proud to share our thoughts and reflections with you.
