J. Tom Lynch was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky and always had a yen to tell...and embellish some of the stories of his youth. The story is set in the south during a time when coal mining disasters dominated the news and the Korean war impacted many of the draft age young men giving them a lot more to consider than coal mines. From there the character James "Frog" Rizzo was born. The book reflects Tom's southern roots as experienced by a teenager and his interest in subjects as varied as war, heaven and hell, friendship and respect.
