Wonderful writing of days gone by, of heroes of the Great War, over there and at home.

Stories of Soldiers, for sure. But also stories of doctors, nurses, litter bearers, Red Cross and YMCA volunteers. and Pastor's. Stories of those waiting for their return, in the factories, railroads. Packing of hospital supplies, preparing meals. 8 million children of the Junior Red Cross produced 300,000 refugee garments plus hospital supplies and knitted articles. I think you get the idea...When everything counts.
