a treasure for St. Therese devotees

A wonderful collection of photographs and memorabilia that would delight the devotees of St. Therese. St. Therese, declared a Doctor of the Church by the late, great Pope John Paul II, is probably one of the most popular and loved saints in the Catholic Church. Also considered by many as the greatest saint of the modern times, her short life ( 24 years )is also one of the most documented, not only by her famous autobiography, " Story of a Soul " but also by her letters, poems, plays, her last conversations and most of all photographs. This book contains most if not all of those photographs. Although, most of those photos are quite famous, you can't find them all in one book until this one was published. There's also pictures of letters, relics and some of her personal items. It's interesting that when her sister Celine, (Sister Genevieve of the Holy Face )entered the Carmel of Lisieux, where St. Therese and two of her older sister already are, an artist, she was allowed to bring in her camera, which gave us a window to life inside the convent. It also gave us innumerable treasures of photograhps of St. Therese and her fellow sisters. Relatively unknown outside of the Carmel of Lisieux when this photos were taken, we can already see here the work of Divine Providence, that sister Therese of the Child Jesus would be loved and venerated by the whole world the follwing century. This book I highly recommend to all Catholic and devotees of St. Therese. Unfortunately, it's quite hard to find lately, and used copies are quite expensive. I hope the publiher would one day print it again.

This book is one of my favorites, containing a wealth of information about St. Therese, whom I have a particular devotion to. It has beautiful pictures and photographs relating to her life, many of which I had never seen before. This book is a must-have for those interested in the details of her life. It may be on the expensive side, but if you are able to purchase it, you will not be disappointed!
