There's Nothing I Own That I Want by Harrisene Jackson is an excellent novel. It is very well written. I loved this book form the begining to the end. She witness so much in her life at a young age by seeing her mother being killed. This book shows you the ups and downs of her life. It makes you examen your life to see if you could be that strong willed if you had to go through what she had experience.

A touching story.

This novel touched me in many ways. The reader is taken through the trama of Herrisene Jackson and her three siblings witnessing their mother being beaten and murdered by her boyfriend. As they yell and scream he tosses her out of their fifth floor apartment window in the early morning hours. This book takes the reader through some joys and a lot of pains that the writer suffered in her life. Once I started this novel I could not put it down. It was a page turner from the beginning until the end. Excellent!
