There's a Snake in My Room

There are two interrelated storylines in this book. In the first storyline, a boy is surprised to find a garter snake that somehow got into his room. His mom helps him capture it, and they take it back outside to the garden. She admonishes him to keep his window closed so this won't happen again. The curious boy looks up information about garter snakes on the Internet, and decides to go ahead and let two snakes back into his room. He thinks they could make good pets. Soon there are fifteen snakes living in the boy's room, and he is in big trouble. He finally calls his mom in to help him get rid of the snakes, and by the end he has learned his lesson. The second storyline traces the movements of all the snakes as they slink into the boy's room
