There Are No Eyes

A strange occurrence creates an unwanted page into an old murder file. Years later the same type of murder reoccurred. One officer stares down at the victim. It was a reminder from over ten years ago. Why? Called in a forensic expert to examine the victim. Strickland waited patiently for Jonas to arrive. Annoyed by the flash back long forgotten in time. Moved away and sat down on the hood of police car. Jonas arrived. Wondered why Strickland waited for him. Strickland smiled and escorted Jonas to the victim. Explained the scene of the crime. Walked away. Sat back down on the hood. Jonas examined the victim. Examined her throat. A rather odd thought crossed his mind. Stood up and walked outside and spoke to Strickland. "You have seen this crime before."
A long time ago. Several murders just like this one. An arrest was made. Trial occurred and a conviction. The killer was put to death. Body taken away. Here today ten years later. the very same kind of murder. Why?"
Jonas listen. "Why is the same as the others?"
"It is a perfect match to the other deaths."
"Where do we begin? After i examine the body." Jonas look directly into his eyes. Almost witness a complete mental break down. Saw a terrific pain of a heart broken father. Who lost his daughter. Wondered if the pain was to much for Strickland? It was going to be hard to pull him away. Best thing to do was let Strickland investigate the crime.
