Asthma is currently the most common chronic disease affecting children. We set out to develop an educational program for our young outpatients with asthma. In our study, twenty-five patients were identified, with a median age of 82.8 4 months and a predominance of males. After optimized management including therapeutic education, avoidance of triggers, treatment of comorbidities and delivery of an action plan, improvement was noted, with c-ACT for under-12s and mean ACT becoming 21.5 and 21.4 respectively.Therapeutic education can be provided in a specialized facility called an asthma school, or in a confidential outpatient clinic.
