High Praise for Theophany

I am not a reader of this type of work, but I was asked to give my thoughts on this book! It was by far one of the best books I have read in the past 10 yrs. Sarah is genuine and real, and the authors ability to bring the reader into the book is great. I highly recommend this book to everyone. It will make your heart sing!

Amazing Theo

Having the distinct pleasure of personally knowing the author has added to the intense enjoyment and reactions I experienced while reading this book. Mike has managed to capture the pure essence of the true meaning of spiritual connection, power and acceptance. I highly recommend anyone browsing to buy this book, digest the messages that are in the written word and pass it on. I have and will continue to share this work with all who I come in contact with.

First novel touches range of emotions...

One need not believe or religous to enjoy this first outting by Michael Vines.Buckle up for a delightful yet exhilarating ride. A page turning religous/thriller,*Theophany* is a tale weaved of reactive chilling experiences. Readers are driven on a journey through spiritual growth, angelic convictions and mortal dilemas. With wonderful bits of humor blended throughtout, the reader will be hardpressed to find any preachiness in this novel. Only the joy of discovering a new voice and a marvelous read ahead. Here's looking forward to Vines next novel,Barbara

Will make you smile.

Great book! The villains are as nasty as the protaganist is good. Mr Vines really knows how to throw a reader around. Get's you feeling all warm and fuzzy, then WHAM, whacks you in the head and makes your heart race. I loved it, my wife loved it, her mom loved, several of our friends loved it. At least a dozen people have read my one worn copy and more are waiting for it.

Theophany is engrossing, engaging and inspirational.

Sara Ferunder, her friends and family, are drawn so realistically that I found myself caring very much about her and the spiritual journey she takes. Michael Vines introduces complex theological notions, taken from a wide variety of world religious beliefs, through this journey, in a way that is both accessible to readers not yet familiar with these ideas, and inspiring to all readers. While the novel has some real tension, mosty due to Sara's impending demise, there are plenty of comic moments, and lots of joy. A bus trip taken by Sara and Josh is uplifting, as they open the hearts of the other passengers with their simple message of love and hope. Even The Stranger is well-depicted. He lurks chillingly in the background, allowing the reader the experience of realizing, in a way that is engaging rather than preachy, that good and bad in life have much to do with the consequences of the choices we make. I found Theophany fascinating, inspiring, well-written and beautifully executed. I only wish there were more stars with which I could recommend this work.
