Hesiod's Theogony is a Greek mythological poem, or rather the Greek mythological poem, in which history is told and in particular the genealogy as well as the genesis of the classical gods; from the "chaos" to the Olympic supremacy of Zeus.The 1022 examiners that make up the Theogonic cycle, perhaps the first among the cycles that make up the "Epic Cycle", are dated around the 8th to the 8th century BC; handed down from the Medieval Byzantine works, they are mainly attributed to Hesiod, Greek poet of Ascra, considered according to the thesis, prior or contemporary to Homer himself.Little or nothing remains of his works, the Theogonia, one of the most complete and cornerstone of The (probably Oral) production of Esiodo, is presented here in the translation by the Greek of Ettore Romagnoli (1929) Greekist and Italian literate born and lived in Rome ( June 1871 - May 1938).The purpose of this publication persists in the intention of delivering and disseminating to the contemporary era, documents of the classical era that formed the basis of Hellenic and Latin culture, in an attempt to reinterpret the history, accessing and thus avoiding overlaps and superstructures, dictated by folklore as well as superstition or worse by the "heard saying", which increasingly pollute ancient knowledge, and thus leaving the reader the possibility of any intellectual speculation.
