Theodore Turley was an early Latter-day Saint Pioneer. Born in England, he immigrated to Canada in 1827 and then to the United States a decade later after converting to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked as a blacksmith, and was a loyal friend to Joseph Smith. Theodore faced mobs and persecution, and spent time in prison as a missionary in England. Later on he followed the pioneers out to Utah and California, and spent the final years of his life in Southern Utah.
