San Antonio is a beautiful city in the great state of Texas. Native Americans lived there alongside Spanish religious missions in the 1500s. A Payaya tribal chief Chicaua wanted Christianity for his tribe. His wife Metzli rejected it. Chicaua assigned a handsome Christian monk to try and convince Metzli to adopt the religion. Metzli and Dominic became intertwined, and they lose their lives as a result. They're sentenced to a place between heaven and hell, purgatory.

Fast forward to San Antonio in 2003. A young Christian girl, Sofia, lived a happy life with her immigrant father and her Mexican-American mother. One night, her world turned upside-down. ICE stormed her house and detained her father for deportation. During the ordeal, an ICE officer named Byron tried to make the situation as painless as possible. Byron showed the family respect. Sofia's mom, Carissa, communicated with Byron as her husband was deported back to El Salvador. Sadly, Sofia's dad was killed shortly after his deportation. Carissa was distraught, but Sofia lost her faith in God in the process. Byron tried to help the family cope, and he fell in love with Carissa along the way. Astonishingly, Carissa married and had three children with the ICE officer who deported her husband

The years went by. In 2025, Byron took his family on a trip to Mexico on Halloween night. Sofia decided not to go. Criminals in Mexico kidnapped Byron's family and forced them to take part in a satanic sex ritual to summon a demon, Asmodius. Asmodius had the power to bring someone back from hell. The criminal, Marcos, wanted to bring back his recently killed brother, Miguel. Asmodius had to open the gates of heaven and hell simultaneously in order to travel into hell and pull back Miguel. Asmodius had to bring the two longest serving souls in purgatory back to Earth and influence them to sin.

The two longest serving souls at that time were Metzli and Dominic, who died in the 1500s. Sofia met them by fate or chance. Her friends and her go on a wild adventure to protect Metzli and Dominic from Asmodius's attempts to corrupt them both. Their story is filled with temptation and faith, good and evil. They learn about themselves and each other in the process. In the end, they find the true meaning of good. They even find love.
