observing animal behaviour

i have always been an avid observer of animal behaviour, mainly involving my pet cat. i am sure instinct plays a big part. that is how he reacts to a given situation. i think it's 60% instinct , 40%learned behaviorial science...also i wonder, how he would react , say he had a different upbringing ? also, there is something greatly bothers me, .... if i go away for a period of time,,suggesting on a holiday... short or long time basis... ?????? i have concerns,like if he was to stay in a place , these people that looked after cat ???? will his core of balance change immensely ??? will he be the same cat when i get him back ??? food.... also the type of food defines the animal.... that is cats are an evolved species, domestic cats do not hunt.. they rely on the food we give them.. a balanced diet or merely scraps ??? what is a balanced food that will make a happy and healthy puss. ??? i wonder, the animals in the berlin zoo...they need to be fed to survive, also there is a lot of berliners that are going hungry, there is a conflict of interest that has risen only in a time of war..war creates problems that are never thought of..
