This ninth volume, and the eighth, tenth and eleventh volumes record the descendants of his fourth so, Amos (1734-1786). David Sr. and his six sons moved to Scituate, Rhode Island in 1735 from Marblehead, Massachusetts. From there the families moved to Vermont, New York, Indiana, Michigan, and many other points throughout the United States. Many of those descended from Amos became residents of the American mid-west.
