Noted children's poet Lee Bennett Hopkins recounts his life and describes how his daily activities and writing process are interwoven. This description may be from another edition of this product.
ReviewLee Bennett Hopkins grew up in a single-parent household, in Newark, New Jersey, with a mother, a younger brother and a sister. Lee went to Newark State Teachers College now called Kean College. Hopkins was a 6th grade teacher for many years. He writes pictures books, novels and poetry. What I like is that his poems are creative and fun to read. What I dislike about the book is that Hopkins's poems could be longer than they are now. Since my likes are more than my dislikes, I say that you should read this book.
