A six-man team from the elite SAS were given the task of bringing two kidnapped doctors home from Somalia.The human cost of the operation was high. Of the six-man team, three were uninjured. All the remaining three were injured, one, the officer in charge of the operation, suffered severe life threatening injuries. The team witnessed atrocities beyond belief and it affected every member of the team. After an internal investigation no blame for the failed rescue attempt was attributed to the team or those in charge. Although completely exonerated, the team felt they had failed, in particular Captain James.An international investigation failed to identify the man or group responsible for the atrocities. Throughout his long arduous treatment and recovery, the one thing that drove James to survive was his determination to exact justice on the man responsible. Captain James, on the verge of being medically discharged, recognised the man on a television news report.The problem was that International affairs were proving more important than justice. The deaths of the two doctors, along with the complete Somali medical team, could not compete with the internationally perceived reputation of the man, he was deemed untouchable.Captain James was not concerned about international politics and although ordered, could not drop the issue. He had, somehow, to overcome his severe disability and do something that the government was not prepared to do.
