I Love It!

A romp. A triumph of scholarly synthesis. So recondite that some of the words used aren't in the Oxford English Dictionary! I read it years ago and was thrilled to buy a copy. The story begins some time before 1453, so Mr Stacton can set the scene and introduce the players. It's a fascinating story and is told superbly. If you like your history informative and opinionated, this is the book for you!
