The coming of age of a young boy during the middle of the last century, beginning in Mill Valley in the late fifties and carried on a time trip through Santa Rosa and Montana before ending up in the Haight Ashbury during the sixties.Gary Alan Aldrich was born in Montana and moved around with his family during his childhood, eventually settling into the San Francisco Bay Area in the 1950's. He attended UC Berkeley, and after receiving his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics, became a computer programmer. He retired after 35 years at UCSF Hospital Information Systems. In his retirement, Gary enjoyed solving Sudoku, playing bridge, and writing and editing fiction. A resident of the city for over 50 years, Gary passed away in San Francisco in 2019.
