Those of us who are able to walk, run, sit-up, dance, care for our families, play, and work will hopefully appreciate those things a whole lot more after reading this book. At the age of 17, Margaret Jean Jones became the victim of a rare disease that left her body stiff and paralyzed. The disease aggressively took over most all of her body to the point of being bed-ridden. For over fifty years, (the book was written in 1979, but she passed away recently)she could not move, and could only eat by drinking through a straw. The remarkable thing is that even in her debilatated state, she continued to enjoy life and was able to author this book as well as others. The way she did that, as well as her valiant faith in the midst of tremendous pain and suffering, was very inspiring to me. She tells of her life story and about the many relationships with people who she helped and inspired throughout her life. This is a good read for an older book. I recommend it for strengthening faith and getting out of our comfort zones in life.
