Tons of Information

This sprawling, massive book is filled with information about every aspect of the war, starting with the events leading up to the German invasion of Poland, the campaign that launched the War, and doesn't stop until the Nuremberg trials in 1946. This book was used in a World War II college course I took, and I couldn't have asked for a better study guide. A bit dry at times, definitely not a book you would take to the beach, but still a worthy buy for anyone looking to gain knowledge about the War, or for history buffs needing a good reference book. It contains a vast array of color pictures, weapons, and maps. It even has details about the soldiers from all countries involved in the War(what type of clothing a traditional Australian soldier wore, types of weapons they used, etc.) Also of importance are the informative sections that highlight what certain officers, generals, and leaders did before and after the War(Himmler, Patton, Rommel). Buy this book, you won't be disappointed.
