The Woods brothers were born into a loving family and learned early in life how hard life could become. This story of Civil Unrest framed in the mid-1800's, explains the struggles many westerners faced living in a remote land laden with hostilities. Families had to fight many obstacles or be swallowed up by them. Sometimes, even as a boy, one must take the bull by the horns and wrestle it to the ground. Jack and Louis Woods were just boys when disaster struck their family, leading to a series of events that forced them into manhood early in their lives. Families split apart to fight for their right to live free of tyranny and oppression. Women fought alongside their men in a supporting role, fighting the elements that lacked the necessities we take for granted today. These early Americans fought not just in war, but in everyday life to establish their rights. As America grew, so did her laws and the enforcement of those laws permitting them to live in a land where every man and woman was given equal rights to live free. We owe much to those great men and women, who we can only repay by sticking firm to our Godly principles.
