The Wolf and the Lion

By Rex Holloway

Ensemble crime thriller - Sons of Anarchy fans will love it

Montreal's Dead Wolves Motorcycle Club has controlled its territory for decades. Now the largest outlaw motorcycle club in the world wants to take it away.

Big Machine is expanding into Quebec, absorbing smaller clubs and bringing their drug operations under its control. The Dead Wolves have no intention of surrendering their independence. But when their president and vice president are assassinated, the surviving members face a choice between fighting a much larger organization or joining it.

Raison, the club's ambitious new president, believes he can turn the situation to his advantage. His younger brother Rage, a vicious, unpredictable outlaw who lost most of his left hand during a childhood robbery, has little patience for politics. As the brothers struggle to hold their club together, Big Machine offers them a chance to prove themselves with a series of lucrative criminal operations.

In Colorado, former CIA operator Travis Mason is struggling to adjust to civilian life. Haunted by his experiences overseas and battling alcoholism, he joins Green Zone Defense, a security company founded by a retired Marine colonel to protect the state's newly legalized cannabis industry. Its armored vehicles transport millions in cash, and its security personnel include some of the most experienced combat veterans in the country.

When the Dead Wolves set their sights on Green Zone Defense, the Canadian bikers and American combat veterans become locked in a game cat and mouse that soon explodes in bloodshed on the Denver streets.

The Wolf and the Lion is a high-stakes, action-packed crime thriller about outlaw motorcycle clubs, organized crime, loyalty, betrayal, and men who make their living with a gun. With multiple intersecting storylines and realistic action, it will appeal to readers of Don Winslow and Tom Clancy.
