King James himself led forth the quest
To capture cannibals in their lair.
What happened in the darkness there?

Agnes fettered in her cell
Tells of her savage family hell
To a scribe she spills the Beans
Himself a victim of the fiends

They both have got their slates to lave
For he himself went to that cave.
An outlaw now for royal libel,
Outlawed to save King James' bible.

But one escaped the family slaughter
And Blue Bill's mum was Sawney's daughter
Thus Blue Bill Brown's of Sawney's yoke
And he set sail to Roanoke...
