Susan has new adventures when she reunites with the Wizard's pet crow, Giselle. Also, she meets the wise old tree, Aunt Elsie, and the ornamental crab apple tree, named, Gabby, who lives in this enchanted woodland. Susan grows into an older woman while waiting for the Wizard to return home. After waiting many years for his arrival: she decides to use up the last wish from her fairy godfather.
