The Witch is Burning

Have you ever wondered about the true life hero lurking in the shadows that turned the tides of the world's most historic events? Or have you always known that the inexplicable has to have some nearly unfathomable explanation? Well, 'The Witch is Burning', a woman's historical diary of her life during the famous Salem Witch Trials of 1692, is just that. This untold story of the famous Salem Witch Trials, entails our alone, downhearted Mary, who has traveled from the Old World to the New World in the year 1692. Being the daughter of a woman who possessed supernatural powers, Mary has been granted the gift of immortality from her mother and has been alive for over 300 years. She too possesses supernatural powers herself and feels her powers are more a curse than a gift. Having watched her mother burn on the stake over three centuries ago, she knows all too well the dangerous witch hunts and mass burning executions. In the New World, Mary finds herself in the woods close to Salem, Massachusetts, where she plans to live a new life away from her past tragedies. She quickly meets a Puritan man with whom she wants with all of her lonesome heart. Having always felt her love was too strong to be given to anyone, she fears for his life. But the cast of a spell called "love" gives Mary no other choice. And after hearing the screams of innocents being thrown into prisons, Mary soon discovers why she is there, to help those accused of partaking in witchcraft. She makes it her mission to comfort and sustain the imprisoned while she desperately tries to stop their witch trials and executing sentences. But soon thereafter, Mary's own love of her life is accused and ripped away from her. Can Mary preempt the trials, stop the hangings at the Gallows and find her love before it is too late? Or will the hangings of all the accused continue and will Mary be the next to swing from the historic tree?
