This book is in my personal library and I LOVE it. Joseph Kaster really plunges your heart and mind into the consciousness of ancient Egypt. This book will change your paradigm of what you think of the ancient Egyptians. Two specific examples: First, he gives the reader the real translation of "The Book of the Dead" which is really "The Chapters Coming Forth by Day." This provides the reader with the truly optimistic nature of the people. Secondly, he demonstrates their sensuality with the beautiful and erotic love poetry of the ancient Egyptians. Get this book, steal a line, and write on your valentine to your beloved - guaranteed steam. He shows examples of their humor and spirituality.
