Delightful!

Extremely short but really a fun read. Great quotes to meditate on. Probably better to use as a devotional - it will go very quickly if you read straight through. well worth it.

Great text but overpriced

This is a great little book, but I am not sure that the price brand new is justified. It is a very slim hardcover that explores some of the thoughts of the Greek Fathers. You may do better to buy "The Relevance of the Fathers" by Timiadis. It is a little more expensive, not much, and it won't fit into your pocket (but it is slim, too) but it gives a better account of slected themes from Eastern Fathers.

Good to wet the appetite

This is an excellent introduction to the Greek Church Fathers' theological insights. Louth provides a welcome aid to the recent growth in Western understanding of the foundations of the Eastern Christian faith.
