The four motivations that tender human life find themselves wrapped around this play, (music, comedy, romance and tragedy), which contains four acts. A certain young man seems unable to break with parental hold until his parents grant his inheritance to the adjoining university. This creates no small stumbling block to his mental attitude on life in general. His parents die; thus, broadening his fatal outlook on life. A young woman comes into his life. Her feverish encounters, though heartfelt by her, seems to make no inroads into her forlorn man's attitude. Their musical entreaties finally open their hearts to love. Certain mental pictures emblazened upon the bride's mind prevents her being an ideal wife. To further confuse her, a former male friend pays her a visit. A confrontation between husband and wife finally breaks the barrier which is short lived by the play's closing upon tragedy. Two park benches and a mural makes set for Act One and most of Act Two. Acts Three and Four are composed of a Library (drawing room) setting. Running time is Two hours and ten minutes, (exclusive of scene and set changes and intermission)
