GREAT BOOK! A MUST READ!

This book is the kind of book that you cannot put down. For a picky reader such as myself, It is hard to find a decent book that I can stay interested in. I read most of the book the first day, and finished the last hundred pages the next morning. With Ken Mylers writing, It felt you were a part of the book.. Edge of the seat suspense! By far one of the best books I have read in a long time. Very Eager for a next one! Great Job Ken!

Top Notch Thrilling Suspense

Ken Myler's exciting first effort breezes along. I could not help but wonder what the master of suspense, Alfred Hitchcock, would do with this story. It is the tale of an ordinary man thrown into a sea of extraordinary circumstances. The reader is kept on the edge of his seat throughout, trying to figure out how the protaganist will deal with the next set of hurdles he must face. A must read.

I Defy You To Put This Book Down

At first, I was apprehensive on reading a thriller, I'm not a big fan and I was expecting the plot to be something akin to a MOW (Movie of the Week) on your basic cable channel. I was wrong. "The Will to Defy" not only had me hooked, but also had well-drawn characters with heart, soul, flaws and conscience. It's recommended to hard-core-thriller fans and non-fans alike. The book's main character- Ben Pearce- an everyman of sorts--broker, father, husband-is the Picture of Perfection. It doesn't take long for this everyman to be thrown into a nightmare. How he tries to wake from it is something you'd never expect. Paul Schrader's classic line in `Taxi Driver' comes to mind: "The days move along with regularity...one day indistinguishable from the next, a long continuous chain, then suddenly - there is a change."

A Must Read!

The Will to Defy will take you on a roller coaster ride that will leave you breathless. There are so many twists and turns that you never know what's around the next corner. The reader will turn pages well into the night, and the characters will stay with you long after the book is put down. A must read!

A Real Page-Turner

Ken Myler's book "The Will To Defy" is a classic page-turner. An ordinary man is thrust into some extraordinary experiences in this tightly woven suspense/thriller. After a tragic accident takes the life of a powerful mobster's young daughter, the peaceful life of one man and his family becomes a desperate attempt to keep their own world from falling apart. Myler has woven the plot around a set of circumstances that leaves the reader on the edge of their seat wondering how much pressure one man can deal with in his quest to keep himself and his family safe from the consequences of a father's revenge. Psychological suspense at its' most chilling. Highly recommended reading!
