In July of 2024, the Times reported that two unauthorized, amateur archeologists, exploring a cave near the Mount of Temptation in the Judean Desert, found an ancient reed pen stained with black ink.

Marvin Solinar, the famous code breaker hunted by the CIA, followed an Israeli mystic's instructions and climbed down a nearby shaft in search of a sacred artifact.
