A satisfying novella

A very quick and satisfying listen to! It does not have much fluff and it is is extremely easy to hate Reid, who is so full of cruelty, and radicalized by internet info and his own spiraling that he feels the only way to be free and have it all, including the kids and house, is to kill his wife and make it look like it was a robbery gone wrong. I had to shake my head at some of the stuff he thought was so great and how he knew he could get away with killing his wife. I would be surprised if anyone wanted to see him live after all the hatred he spews. So, the twist is great and how whatever Reid has planned, it is going to go askew because someone else has their own plans and it certainly took a surprising turn that I loved. It is short and intense and the back and forth between viewpoints really brings the story and its characters to life. The narrators, Johnathan McClain; Eva Kaminsky, did a great job in making this a bang of a novella. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to listen to this great little audiobook!
