For Ashley Taylor, summer holidays usually mean hot weather with nothing particularly exciting to do, but when a circus comes to town and local apartments are robbed, a friend gets Ashley involved. With the help of her new-found friend, Nathan Craig, Ashley pushes through some unforeseen knock-backs, connects the pieces of the puzzle, tracks down the thieves and is able to return the stolen items to their rightful owners. The new year brings with it not only a new year of school, but also a reward for last year's good deeds; a trip to England, and the detectives just couldn't turn it down The trip to the UK proves to be less relaxing and more eventful, with plenty of sight-seeing, a fancy house-party, a Shakespearean play and to top it all off, the murder of a friend, with the house-keeper getting framed. Ashley and Nathan manage to expose the true criminal before they head back to good old Australia.
