The Whistler of Hutoriane

After Bean loses his father hunting in the mountains of Utah, he meets an old medicine man who makes a blood-oath to help find him. For his part, Bean must retrieve a powerful ancient artifact. Equipped with a magic whistle, an ancient map, and his backpack, Bean travels through portals finding himself in precarious circumstances and encountering curious strangers along the way.

In Caracas, Venezuela, he meets Toni, a jiu-jitsu martial artist, who becomes his protector from gangs, skin-walkers, demons, goblins and a witch as they travel deep into the wild jungle leading up to Angel Falls, the highest waterfall on Earth. Their friendship grows, but Bean is conflicted when he discovers Toni is seeking the same artifact.

While the fate of Hutoriane rests on Bean's shoulder, he just wants to save his father. If Bean is to be successful, he must learn who he can trust or who is a threat.
