But the mystery isn't over-he also finds a dusty note that points to a secret door under the history wing. When Atlas uses the note to unlock the hidden passage, he discovers a small room full of old school items, a handwritten journal, and a time capsule meant to be found by someone who listens carefully.
Inside the time capsule, Atlas finds a key and tape recordings that explain why the whispers were sent through the speakers: someone was trying to scare people away so they could steal old school artifacts. Tracking down the thief, Atlas exposes a school board member who was pocketing historic items from the school. At a big assembly, Atlas shows everyone the recovered artifacts and explains why it's important to pay attention to history. In the end, Atlas turns scary whispers into an adventure-reminding his classmates how their school's past can teach and inspire them.
