Making life "right" again.

This is an incisive book about abuse that appealed both to my husband and me. Shirley treats the subject with a care and an optimism that I wonder if many other writers could. Yes, good things do follow the unspeakable, and people do survive to share the strength they earned from adversity. We are so happy to have known Shirley since high school days and to be able to pass along her message and positive thoughts to others of our friends who have experienced the same abuse. The author was always the girl I wanted to be in high school--or so I thought. No one knew the torment she was dealing with. She is still a heroine to me. I really appreciated Shirley's plan for getting beyond her horrible childhood experiences and her suggestions for making life "right" again.

I just finished reading Shirley Peterson's book called, "The Whisper". I am a incest survivor. When I read Shirley's book, I was glad that someone had the courage to come out and tell her story. Especially someone that was sexually abused by her minister father. It helped me to want to move on in my healing. I praise God that Shirley Peterson came into my life because now I have the courage to heal. I also endorse her music cd called "Whispers From Heaven". This cd helps me when I am down and sad. She composed this music while writing her book, "The Whisper". Thanks Shirley for your love and courage so that the rest of us can heal.
