The Whimsical Adventures of Ocean and Tokyo is a children's book dedicated to the beautiful Ghanaian school girls of Bridge to Africa Connections. After seeing the girls on YouTube, (Channel: Wode Maya) (Title: How an African American moved To Ghana to take care of less privileged kids) we were inspired and moved by the pride they had for their culture and their excellent display of Pan Africanism. This is the kind of representation that little Black/African girls, like our daughter Ocean, need to witness. From this, we decided to give back and create a book that not only our daughter will read, but the girls and children all over the world.
We would also like to publicly praise Madam Mama Dawn Sutherland, not only for successfully repatriating to Mama Afrika, but creating a space in Ghana, where local girls can be educated. We have no doubts, that they will grow into powerful women, who contribute to the building of our nation.
In the words of the girls "Forward ever, backwards never."
