The West Coast of the Moon follows Dan Goldman's failed transition out of adolescence in 2017. While his friends plan for college and engage in the last good byes in a small, classic American town in Minnesota, Dan finds himself the the inheritor of a matured cryptocurrency wallet that he purchased and then forgot about six years prior. With seemingly infinite wealth at a young age, Dan becomes the enemy of his growth. He is able to forgo the critical developmental period that is becoming an adult. He destroys relationships with family, friends, and eventually, he destroys himself.
