Spanning the globe from Washington, DC to Portugal and then North Korea, this thriller follows John Gideon, a CIA operative, as he fights for a set of gifted twins known as the Wellwishers. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I've read a lot of espionage novels (Ludlum, DeMille, Follett, etc.), and I have to say that The Wellwishers truly holds its own. Great story, descriptive, but not overly-descriptive prose, believeable protagonists, etc. The book brought to mind DeMille's The Charm School, one of my favorites. I've already recommended the book to a few of my friends and I will definitely read Fountain's next novel.

Caution: Don't start the Wellwishers unless you have time to read the whole thing. It's hard to put this fast-paced novel down. This spy/political thriller keeps you guessing what is around the next corner. Clancy and Flynn have a new peer in Mr. Fountain. I'm looking forward to his next Book!
