The Weight of Stones
THE WEIGHT OF STONES
He gave humanity the tools to survive. They used them to destroy themselves.
Azazel, commander of the Watchers, defied Heaven to teach mankind the secrets of survival-metallurgy, medicine, the written word. But knowledge without wisdom is a weapon, and his students became monsters. For his sins, humanity was punished and he was buried beneath the desert for three thousand years, his guilt manifesting as massive jagged stones upon his soul.
Now a rare celestial alignment has weakened his prison. In the modern world, two immortals wait: Lilith, who turned his teachings into instruments of domination, and Allistor, the Nephilim leader who believes only the strong deserve to survive. They offer Azazel seven days to join them, or watch humanity perish. Again.
Each day, Azazel witnesses the seven deadly sins writ large across a world he no longer recognizes: pride in towers of glass, greed in systems of control, wrath in the machinery of war. But he also finds something he didn't expect-ordinary humans choosing compassion over cruelty, sacrifice over survival.
As the final hour approaches, Azazel must decide: join the immortals who share his power, or stand with the flawed, fragile humans who taught him what redemption truly means. But either choice demands a price he's not sure he can pay.
Some guardians protect through power. Others protect by letting go.
A sweeping tale of fallen angels, ancient sins, and the space between salvation and damnation-where the only thing heavier than guilt is the weight of choice.
