Beach read plus mystery!

Beach read + mystery is my new favorite “genre.” Riley Griggs goes to Belle Isle every year for the summer and this year is no different. Except, someone has been murdered. Who could have done this on their small island? Why would someone do this? Riley scrambles to find out the answers all while an old flame appears and her daughter is being...difficult. Mary Kay Andrews builds these characters with precision and I was left wondering “who dunnit” until the very end. I do wish the ending had been drawn out a bit more but the build up lasted until the last chapter so that I can appreciate. If you enjoyed her other novel, Sunset Beach or Elin Hilderbrand’s The Perfect Couple definitely give this one a try!

Amazing

This was my first book I've read by Mary Kay Andrews and I will definitley be reading more! This story has just the right baance between romance and murder mystery; everyone is a suspect in this book and some deep dark secrets are reveiled throughout the story. Kept me on the edge of my seat guessing until the end of the book. Great summer read!
